What makes the Heart & Sole Rowan’s 5K special? It's a chance for our community to come together, share memories, and support a cause close to home. Whether you run, walk, or simply come out to show love and support, everyone is welcome. This race is more than just a run; it’s an opportunity to connect and contribute.

The Rowan Jo Foundation
All proceeds from the Heart & Sole 5K will benefit The Rowan Jo Foundation. The purpose of The Rowan Jo Foundation aims to provide scholarships to individuals who have been personally affected by congenital heart defects — whether through their own diagnosis or through the diagnosis, treatment, or loss of a family member or loved one — to be used for tuition, books, housing, and other qualified educational expenses. Additionally, The Rowan Jo Foundation aims to support hospitals and medical institutions, Like Dell Children's Hospital, providing care and treatment for congenital heart defects. By supporting such organizations, we aim to help advance early detection, improve surgical outcomes, and give other children and families facing CHD the gift of more time, more answers, and more hope for the future.
We look forward to growing The Rowan Jo Foundation and see all the good that it can bring in honor of our sweet Ro!
More than a Race
Our hope is that the funds raised through this event will contribute to vital research and innovations in the treatment of congenital heart defects. By supporting organizations like Dell Children’s Medical Center, we aim to help advance early detection, improve surgical outcomes, and give other children and families facing CHD the gift of more time, more answers, and more hope for the future.
To us, Dell was the hospital that could give Rowan Jo a second chance at life. Rowan was accepted as a patient there and we are forever grateful that they were willing to give her and our family a chance.
We are so pleased to have been able to raise and donate $12,000 back to Dell during out first race in 2026. We hope that more research can happen and more families can get answers and help to complex heart conditions.

The ideal participant for the Heart & Sole: Rowan’s 5K is anyone and everyone! We especially encourage kids to join us. Whether you're a serious runner, a family looking for a fun day out, or a beginner taking your first steps, there's a place for you at our race. Join us in making a difference, one step at a time.
