What makes the Heart & Sole: Rowan’s 5K special? It's a chance for our community to come together, share memories, and support a cause close to home. Whether you run, walk, or simply come out to show love and support, everyone is welcome. This race is more than just a run; it’s an opportunity to connect and contribute.

Supporting Dell Children’s
All proceeds from the Heart & Sole 5K will benefit Dell Children’s Medical Center, supporting congenital heart defect (CHD) research and assisting families navigating similar journeys. Dell Children’s holds a special place in our hearts, as they were set to perform Rowan’s transplant.
Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas is a pediatric acute care hospital located in Austin, TX. It is a member of Ascensuion and is affiliated with Dell Medical School at The University of Texas. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to pediatric patients aged 0–21 throughout Central Texas. The hospital features the only Level I pediatric trauma center in the Central Texas region. It is also the only comprehensive children's heart center in Central Texas with 48 cardiac critical care unit beds. Dell includes the first Comprehensive Fetal Care Center in Central Texas with an obstetrics clinic and specialized delivery unit allowing a mother whose baby has been diagnosed with a complex fetal or congenital condition are able to deliver and recover in the same hospital where newborns receive the highest level of specialized care.
More than a Race
Our hope is that the funds raised through this event will contribute to vital research and innovations in the treatment of congenital heart defects. By supporting organizations like Dell Children’s Medical Center, we aim to help advance early detection, improve surgical outcomes, and give other children and families facing CHD the gift of more time, more answers, and more hope for the future.
